My First Ever Hike to Lake Holon - June 29, 2024

I’ll never forget my first-ever hike to Lake Holon. It was an adventure I never dreamed of, and on June 29, 2024, I finally made it a reality. The experience exceeded all my expectations, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity.

The hike itself was challenging but incredibly rewarding. The path to Lake Holon was both beautiful and serene, with nature surrounding me at every turn. I felt such a sense of accomplishment when I reached the lake, standing there in awe of the breathtaking view. It was a moment that made all the effort worthwhile.

What truly made this trip unforgettable, though, was the warm and welcoming T’boli tribe. Their hospitality was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, they greeted us with open arms and shared their culture with such pride.

The most moving moment of all was during their 4 AM devotional prayer the next day. As they sang a T’boli worship song, I was overwhelmed with emotion. The song, filled with such deep spiritual meaning and sincerity, touched my heart in ways I can’t fully explain. I found myself crying, caught up in the beauty and the devotion they poured into every note. It was a deeply humbling experience, and it made me feel connected to something much greater than myself.

I cannot wait to return to Lake Holon and see the smiles of the T’boli tribe again. The memories I made during this trip will stay with me forever. Hyulafus!
